What's Your Bedtime Ritual with DC
Everynight before Ella's bedtime either DH or I would give her a bath. After her bath she gets a bottle then we would read to her and then we will say a prayer with Ella. Then she goes to bed.

I have a ? with the bath does it dry out her skin every night? We do Sofia every other and I worry for the summer with the pool and ocean her skin will dry out

on most nights we give jonah a bath, then a bottle while rocking in the glider. after cuddling him in the glider, when he is nice and drowsy, we put him in his crib.

I have eczema girls, so they only get a bath 2-3 times a week.
But for both girls it goes, bathtime, reading time in their room with mommy and daddy, snuggle time on the couch with milk cup and last bottle while watching jeopardy, and then off to bed at 7:30pm. My oldest LOVES jeopardy

I don't find it to dry out her skin at all. Right after her bath I make sure I lotion her skin very well.

yes, i found that it dried dc skin out when i gave a bath every day. i think it's a combination of the bath and the dry heat in the house. i use lotion to massage him after the bath, and a touch of baby oil on his scalp, but he's still slightly dry. so now i do every other day, or even every 2 days (but i wash down there every day).

I love the bedtime routine...
DS gets a bath every night, then we say good night to everything in our path (but we don't stop - we keep moving)..now DS also helps to turn off lights with a switch (loves it  ) and we make our way to him room. We sit in the rocker and he drinks his bottle until he is done or doesn't want anymore and then he curls up in my arms and falls asleep. Then I transfer him to the crib.
Now that he is older he is so much fun with the bath and loves to stand near the tub to watch it fill with water...also loves having water squirted into his mouth...so I try to find a happy medium where he can enjoy those things without getting too worked up before bed.

So far we have never had a problem with it and DS has been taking a daily bath since 3 months old. I do use a light layer of aquaphor instead of lotion 2x per week and then the rest of the time is lotion or baby oil.

DD only gets a bath every other night or so so thats not always part part of the routine.
diaper change/PJs on...lotion massage
cup of milk
read 2 books and cuddle for a few minutes
into the crib she goes..

It did to my son so we use soap every other day. I do soap his "diaper area" every day. Then grease him up good with plenty of lotion.

We do a bath in the late afternoon then dinner. DD is a very neat eater...if she eats at all. Then she plays for an hour or so.
Bedtime routine itself is about 10 minutes of a video...she sits in her infant to toddler rocker.....I put on these special shoes that she wears at night (she has clubbed feet)...brush teeth....we turn everything off in the living room and I take her to her room...we put on the night-night music & nightl ight.....read about 5 books then it's lights out. I put her Fisher Price Aquarium thing on when I put her in her crib.

DD eats her fruit and cereal
then she'll play for about 1/2 hour then it's bath or sponge bath time, lotion massage, the she gets a bottle in the glider...then she goes in her crib...and talks herself to sleep. I usually stay in her room until she falls asleep. Probaly not a great habit, but I like to be in there with her. I try not to let her see me, but I think she knows I am there.
