Re: What's Your Bedtime Ritual with DC
DD's routine has pretty much been the same since she was a baby. Some nights she has a bath. She says goodnight to her living room toys and mommy or daddy(depending on who is putting her to bed) Then I put on her pjs. We usually read 2 books. Now that she can reach the bookshelf I let her "choose" one and we always read Goodnight Moon. As I read she has her milk. Then I put on her sound machine, turn off the light, put her in her crib and put on either the mobile music or the aquarium.

Re: What's Your Bedtime Ritual with DC
My kids are a bit older - but we still have a ritual!
45 minutes before bedtime they brush their teeth, go to the bathroom, get drinks.. whatever they need to do.
Once they are all ready (about 30 minutes to bedtime) we all pile into my bed for family cuddle. Sometimes we chat, sometimes we sing, sometimes we play tickle games or whatever.
Five minutes to bedtime they move to their own beds. Daddy piggybacks Robbie and I carry Noah.
Then Rob gives each of them a hug and a kiss and goes back to bed.
I do prayers with each of them. Then I sing Noah's lullabye to him and give him a fishy kiss, an Eskimo kiss, a butterfly kiss, a Danish kiss, a bear hug, a bear kiss, a regular hug and a regular kiss.
Then I go up to Robbie and sing him his lullabye and do the same kiss ritual Then I turn on the fan and go to my own bed.
When they were babies it was usually a bath and a massage before being nursed and put down.

I love the bedtime routine...
DS gets a bath every night, then we say good night to everything in our path (but we don't stop - we keep moving)..now DS also helps to turn off lights with a switch (loves it ) and we make our way to him room. We sit in the rocker and he drinks his bottle until he is done or doesn't want anymore and then he curls up in my arms and falls asleep. Then I transfer him to the crib.
Now that he is older he is so much fun with the bath and loves to stand near the tub to watch it fill with water...also loves having water squirted into his mouth...so I try to find a happy medium where he can enjoy those things
So cute DS LOVES the switches also --especially when I say "Lights Out"

We don't do a bath every night.
We get home about 6 He eats dinner right away He plays if he had a later nap at daycare We say night night to Daddy and Maggie. I put his pjs on while he plays with a sneaker Then in the crib!
WOW. Ours is boring! But he goes right out...
