When are/did you start wearing maternity clothes?

Some of my tops are getting to snug for me. My chest is just HUGE esp my work tops.

I feel embarrassed wearing some of them to the office.

I'm going to go get the Belly Band for my jeans as they are ok up until I eat. Than its just plain uncomfortable.

I'm miserable at how fast my body is changing. I hear everyone say they didn't start getting bigger until the start of their 2nd trimester & here I am at 9 weeks already feeling like a whale.

I am about to hit the 20 week mark and I'm in most of my pre-pregnancy clothes.
One day last week I threw the Bella Band on because I felt bloated and my pants were uncomfy
But to be honest- I find the Bella Band to be uncomfy and tight too.
I also wear a lot of dresses and skirts with stretchy material so they are more forgiving.

My chest hasn't gotten that much bigger though- just fuller.

I'm sure in a few more weeks I'll be in full blown maternity- at least pants- for just the sheer comfort of it...

I am 10 weeks today and I feel like a huge cow right now. My face has changed so much. I just saw a picture of myself at Christmas. My cheeks are huge!

Forget about my pants! I sit at work most days with them unbuttoned. I'm trying to hold out on buying clothes until I really need to. I am going to look in the Belly Band also.

With DD I switched to maternity pants around 14 weeks, prior to that I was wearing the Bella Band.

With this pregnancy, I think I'm making the jump to maternity pants now. I'm 19 weeks. I can still wear my regular jeans. But they are actually falling down a lot because my belly is pushing then down. I'm still under my prepregnancy weight from the MS, which was worse this time around.

Im going to be 5 months feb 17- and I am still wearing my regular clothes...

My chest was FLAT (Like little boy flat) before i got preggo and now they are B's, so I know waht you mean about your old work clothes not fitting right...

Im looking into stretch leggings i can buyt hat wont hurt my stomach so i can just wear dresses

in the beginning some of the extra tightness can be caused by bloat.

i remember around that time my pants were getting tighter...then one day...my pants fit like normal again.

at 29ish weeks im wearing maternity work pants but still wear regular leggings and my low rise jeans. my tops are non-maternity still but i wear longer shirts or looser/flowy tops.

if u dont want to start buying new tops yet...u can try wearing a sweater jacket type thing over or a cami/tank underneath

OMG this is me

My face is just huge, not to mention looks so blah because of the weather & the lovely breakouts

I don't want to sound terrible about it. Its just I have seen my girlfriends go through their pregnancies & look amazing throughout the entire time.

Here I am just morphing into roundness all over.

I freaked in the beginning ( as early as 6 weeks ) becuase I thought I was ready for maternity clothes! LOL but now I am at 15 weeks and I am wearing all of my regular clothes. I bought the belly band to wear with jeans but haven't had to use it yet. My mom DID move the buttons on one pair of pants but other than that no issues. . . my bra size didn't go up at all so no problem there.

So far so good. . .

I wore my bella band until about 21 weeks....then switched to some maternity pants at 22 weeks...didnt start wearing maternity tops until 26 weeks, but I still wear a lot of pre pregnancy shirts as well!

I'm only 8 weeks and I sometimes wonder what is going on! Like a PP said though, I think it is just bloating. My pants still button but when I sit at work I am so uncomfortable. And I've actually lost 5 lbs since getting my BFP too, b/c of my waning appetite.

I started wearing maternity pants at around 14 weeks, but stayed in my regular loose shirts until about 19 weeks. My regular jeans were cutting into my stomach and it felt like it was cutting off circulation! Around week 16 my normally thin hips and flat butt became wide and curvy and round! So my regular pants would no longer fit even with the bella band. I had only gained 5 pounds at that point, so I guess the body does what it wants regardless of what you want.

I TOTALLY feel your pain! I guess all of our bodies respond differently. But, for me, I haven't been able to wear my jeans comfortably for a few weeks now and I am only 11wks! I have avoided my jeans, bought a larger size of black pants for work, and have been able to stick with my more stretchy pants and leggings. My tops haven't been too much of an issue because I usually wear loose fitting and empire waist tops.

I was actually just looking online at maternity pants (we have friends visiting this weekend and I want to be able to wear jeans!). I am planning on getting a pair of jeans and maybe one pair for work, plus one of the bands to try and hang on to my current jeans also. I do think a lot of it is bloating, but I am pg with twins, so I think my body is changing rapidly! I just want to be comfortable and not feel like a whale!

I am just about 10 weeks and wore my bella band for the first time today. I figure what's the point of being uncomfy which I have been for the past week or so. I don't know when I will actually start using maternity clothes, I hope I can hold out for a while!

I am 10 weeks too and my jeans are tight, I gave in a got a pair of maternity jeans with the short panel, they are a little bit big (I roll them), but its way more comfortable.

switched exclusively to mat clothes about 2 weeks ago. The band just wasn't cutting it anymore. I'm currently 19 weeks.

I started pretty early- like 12 weeks. My pants were just too tight and I found the full panel pants to be sooo comfy. They were a little too loose on me for a while but whatever- I put them in the dryer a lot. Shirts also b/c they started getting too short. My boobs grew right at the beginning and honestly have not gotten bigger since (thank god) although I know the milk is coming soon!

I am 11 weeks--my pants are snug and my boobs have easily gone from a D to a DD or bigger...I caught a glimpse of them in the bathroom mirror at work and scared myself.

I wear a bella band and just bought a pair of maternity pants with just elastic waist--not a panel. I figure they'll be good in the fall too since I am due late August.

at 13w2d I switched to maternity bottoms - I have a few pants that are a size bigger than what I wear but even with the bella band, they keep sliding down, I need them to be normal on my thighs or no matter what I try, they will find a way to fall down..

I'm 12 weeks and I busted out a pair of maternity pants last week, but only bc I had them from my last PG so I didn't have to go out and buy anything.

I am soooooo much more comfy now.

I started with pants around 16 weeks just to have some more room in my jeans but I wore a band with my work pants for a long time, probably until 26 weeks or so. I like the band from Motherhood maternity. It's much stretchier than the one at Target.

I would recommend not buying too much too early or getting a size bigger than you think you need - I'm kind of growing out of my maternity clothes now at 32 weeks.

I just started wearing maternity bottoms today and I will be 17 weeks tomorrow. Although I can squeeze into my regular pants, I am afraid of stretching them out. I am lucky that my sister gave me a bunch of maternity clothes, so I went right to that and skipped the belly band altogether.
