One week old to BRU and Stop and Shop.

I think you can bring DC as long as you don't let anyone touch him

Re: When did you bring your newborn out?

Wow--you guys are making me really jealous! My DH asked the doctor when we could take the baby to stores because I wanted to a few weeks ago and he said not until he is 3 months old is it considered safe!!! Only to people's houses and outdoors is it ok! Now DH won't let me take him anywhere until then!! He is never going to let me go sooner, because Vincent will be 6 weeks old tomorrow and he already has a stomach virus! So I haven't even taken him anywhere and he is already sick! Chat Icon

Re: When did you bring your newborn out?

we took both our babies out the first day home from the hospital. 2 days old for my first born in January and 1 day old for my DD born in August. I never let anyone touch them, not that anyone tried.

Re: When did you bring your newborn out?

I don't remember exactly, but I know it was pretty soon after we got home from the hospital. My DD slept so much as a newborn, it was easy to go get some shopping done. If it's germs you're worried about, keep in mind that babies still have all of the immunities you passed to them through the placenta for a while. As long as the baby isn't a preemie and people aren't touching or coughing on them or anything, they should be fine.
