Re: When did you feel 'ready' to leave your newborn?

We left him with family at 4 months for a wedding and that was when we felt most comfortable...I think we went to dinner once before then at like 3 months.

I'd say the first 2 months I was a bit nervous...then it got better ..That said, I still hate leaving him, I miss him so much it hurts.

I have only spent 1 night at most at one time away from him at 2.

I'm going back to work when DS is 8 wks, so I'm going to try to leave him for a few hours at a time until I get used to the full workday.

He spent 3 hours at my parents' house on Friday - he was only 2 weeks old. DH and I went to dinner, and went shopping for household essentials like food, deodorant, and picked up new work clothes for DH.

I only txtd them about 8 times Chat Icon

Re: When did you feel 'ready' to leave your newborn?

i left DS overnight for a weding when he was 4 months.. IT WAS GREAT!! sleeping in!! loved it - my mom had him, so i was at total ease..

i wouldnt recommend a baseball game.. my DH is a college baseball coach and i havent taken DS plently of times this spring and he hated the announcer and the music for each at bats... i can only imagine how busy and loud a yankee or met game is...

i could go to a game with DH and enjoy yourself!!!
