When Did You Get A Job Offer After References Are Checked?
Two former coworkers I used as references were contacted by a hiring manager early this week.
They both had good reviews of me...I'm on edge right now wondering if or when I will finally get the job offer.
I can't take it anymore! How long do employers need to make a decision after they have checked references?!?
I'm so tired of going on interviews and jobhunting!

You may hear today or next week. Sometimes it depends on if the right people are in the office who need to sign off on it - but it all sounds positive. Congrats in advance! What is the new gig?

I got 3 more interviews coming up and I can't seem to concentrate on preparing for them!
Thanks I was very psyched. Until she made the offer and it was not what I was expecting at all. I gave her the number I would be comfortable with and she called me back and asked me to meet with the VP of operations next week.

Thanks for the congrats spooks. The new gig is actually a web producer job. :)
I just interviewed again today and have another next week. Hopefully something good will be offered soon!

it varies. i had one employer once call me to say "we want to offer u a job but can't get in touch with your last reference. can you please give us another?" I did, they spoke, hung up and called me.

I dont think any of my references were checked. I got a job offer just hours after my interview.

Yeah some don't bother with references at all. I was offered my last job just as i was walking out the door after the interview!
This time around it's taking me forever to find a job. :P
