When did you pick Godparents for your baby?
And when did you ask the Godparents officially?

I knew before I even got pregnant I would ask my best friend to be the Godmother. When I found out I turned to her and said "you're gonna be a Godmother" lol I guess that was my "official" way of asking....lol
I think most people wait a few months after the baby is born to ask.

DH and I both discussed options of the godparents during the pregnancy. After the level II sono at 20 weeks we asked them.

I don't know what we are going to do about this issue........neither me or DH are religious, I was raised Protestant, him Catholic. I KNOW that the fams are going to want a baptism though. Maybe I should make a spin-off thread about this!

We decided who we wanted to be Godparents towards the end of my pregnancy. we did not ask them until after the baby was born.

We've chosen the godfather, we are down to two godmothers, we have not asked them yet and I'm due in a week. I think we'll wait until they visit and meet  .

we chose them immediately and we are going to ask them next month which would put me at 5 months pg. we feel godparents should be asked way ahead of time so that they can prepare especially if you are picking OOS godparents.

i knew my best friend would be the god mother, as for the god father we dont know yet. i think one of his brothers are the best pick but hes not too fond of them and dosnt like the idea. i was thinking maybe my brother but he says god forbid something happens to us, he dosnt want my brother to raise her (my bro has behavorial issues)

before i got pregnant, i knew who my 1sts godparents would be. We asked them when they came to see the baby at the hospital.
