I'm due 1/16 I'm starting this weekend bc we have to clear out the entire room, measure, tape it off, then maybe paint next weekend. We just want the smell out of there in plenty of time. We also need to sand, prime and paint 2 dressers. One is going to be the changing table, DH has to make a little border around it for the changing pad that will probably be september/october when the furniture will be done. Then I figure my shower will be around oct/nov and everything will be done to put away. Thats my crazy plan right now lol We'll see what actually happens! I just hate rushing so thats why I'm ocd with planning!

I am due the end of October and we haven't even started to clear out the nursery yet. Right now it is being used as a guest/storage room. We keep putting it off. But we have to do it now. I am planning on starting next week. Have to put the ac in the window before then. Between my Mom, best friends, and hubby we hope to have it cleaned out to paint in a couple of weeks.

I'm due early Feb. and I want to 'start' clearing out the room by the end of Sept... Right now DH has all his stuff in there... computers, TV, couch... big things that are hard to move LOL... so once he gets his move on getting his stuff to the basement, then we need new carpeting...prime, paint and all that fun stuff. We're putting new closet doors on... and I'm a planning 'nut'... LOL.. Getting DH to start that early... doubt it will happen... HA. We shall see..

I think that should be enough time for you though... will you be painting?

I'm due late October and we haven't started yet. Although it is starting to stress me. We just moved 1 month ago so we couldn't really start too early but still.

We are having our wood floors refinished next week so I figure we'll get the ball rolling after that. My dad has been on my case since he wants to paint the baby's room so that should be done soon after. We did order the furniture a few weeks ago.


Aggggh, i'm going to start stressing soon.

We started last week. We had to gut the room since we found out the hard way that there was NO insulation in the exterior walls

We insulated, drywalled, primed, painted, and added moulding to the room so far. We bought the flooring- that will be the next task... Next week we're hoping to get the chair rail & beadboard up... We want to get as much done as possible sooner rather than later.. One less thing to worry about!

I'm due Nov. 7th and we just started it. We had to empty the room...it used to be our office. My shower is Sept. 12 and I'd like it to be done by then. I want to be done with everything by October 1st so I can relax during final weeks.
Weather is still nice in Sept. so you should be with opening windows after you paint. Otherwise it depends I guess on your shower date and if you have room in another place for gifts. We only have two bedrooms so we need space to put stuff.

I'm last minute lucy and I usually end up giving myself anxiety attack from it. Around 35/36 weeks, I start nesting, and in one weekend everything will be done!

I'm going to start right after my shower (hopefully)....about 5-6 weeks before my edd.

since i was team green - we didnt do the rooms until after the baby was born. We just picked out what we would want for a boy and for a girl. After she was born we went out and bought everything, DH worked on the room since DD was in our room for the first 3 months anyway

I'm due 1/3 and we are going to start clearing the room out in late Sept/early Oct. Probably around my 26/27 wk.

Due the end of Oct and Dh just started painting it this week while I was out of the house. We just moved so the room was redone a few months ago. Just needed to paint it the colors we wanted.

we just moved 7/1 and we did alot of work but decided to leave the baby's room for now. well we went to my parents house tonight and my dad was mad that we hadnt started yet (he's going to help us with a lot) so anyway im due 12/24 and we will prob get the room cleaned out, painted and carpeted by end of august or september

We only have a 2 br so I'm a little torn on when to start mine. What will be the nursery is currently the guest room. Since my Mom will be coming to stay with us for a while after the baby is born, I'm not sure whether or not I should leave the bed in there until after the baby comes as a.) there isn't enough room for both the bed and the crib in there and b.) the baby will be in our room for the first few months anyways. Hmm...what to do?

Having said that, we cleared all the 'crap' out of there last weekend and it feels like a different room! I am heading away for work/vacation for 3 weeks and when I get back in late Aug I plan to start getting myself together and start on the room. I'm due Dec 5 so hopefully that will leave me enough time.


I think you'll be fine and have plenty of time.

We started the nursery around 28 weeks. We had to clear out and paint the second bedroom, move all of our stuff in there, clean our crap out of the baby's room, paint and set up all the furniture.

We finished it all within about 2 weeks. I still have to put up shelves and stuff like that, but other than that we're done.

I wanted to have the room done because I am planning on having in their own room within a couple of weeks.

We really just got started on it within the past 2 weeks. Cleared it out at 31 weeks, painted it at 32 weeks, furniture is coming in today at 33 weeks.

I wanted it done sooner, but it wasn't up to me. I am now getting very uncomfortable and on modified bed rest, so it's hard to get as much done in one shot as I would like to.

I think mid sept is too late, things don't always go as plans. You could go early! Ya never know....

Well, I'm 28 weeks and since the baby's room will be our room for a while, we just finished doing everything a few weekends back. We repainted our room, the changer/dresser was put in...just got the message that the crib was in so that will be next.

I won't start "setting up" everything (like bedding, the stuff for the changer, etc) probably until about late Aug...early Sept.

I'm due Oct 21.

(but you never know...I like being "ready")

I'm due Nov. 8 and we've gotten as far as emptying the room and buying furniture.....DH refuses to paint in our house in August b/c it will be hot as he ll.....I'm trying to talk him out of that idea b/c I'm getting ansy!

I started cleaning out the room when I was about 10w. We did not decorate until I was 25-26w. The furniture will not be coming until I am 35w

with first baby i was due 2/20 and we started in Sept.

This time i'm due 1/20 and we are starting in Sept again. we dont have a choice..

it will get done!

Dh was super antsy. Our nursey is already painted and he just installed new carpet. I will be 26W on sunday

We have to insulate so we're starting in the coming weeks with that. After that's finished, we'll see how much we have to do other than just buying furniture and take it from there.

Right now ti's a guest room and we're going to move everything downstairs to another guest room we have (which is doubling as our dining room).
