When did you start putting things in the crib?

DS is 10.5 months old and he still goes to sleep in an empty crib. Should I have started putting some toys in there for him?

You don't have to do anythingChat Icon

But my DS has always had stuff in his crib, he has always slept with his blankie. I think stuffed animals and other blankets when in around 11-12 months or so.

At 18 months, DD still has NOTHING in her crib-- no pillow, blanket, toys, stuffed animals-- nothing. I am a mean mommy Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon

But honestly, she hasn't NEEDED anything, so I'm not rocking the boat by putting something in there Chat Icon

DD has always had a blanket and her little "buddy blankie" in her crib. Now she has a few stuffed animals and several binkies in her crib with her. She is 9 months.

When DS was about 10 months old, he started sleeping with two little blue plush bears. He likes to chew on them and they help soothe him when he is teething.
They are comfort objects, If he wakes up in the middle of the night (which is rare)I hand one to him and he goes right back to sleep.

Kaydyn just got a stuffed Snoopy for Christmas and she loves it so we started putting it in the crib with her at night and for naps. She sleeps right on top of him. She is 11 months.

We have some small stuffed animals and 2 lovies in his crib. Ds is 6 months old. He also sleeps with a blanket over him.

We've never had a problem with having anything in his crib. Chat Icon

DD and DS always had stuff in their crib. I had bumpers on their cribs too. No blankets though.

DD had 2 small throw pillows, a taggies soft cloth book, small stuffed animals (like an elmo and zoe), her stuffed frog and one of those little blankie things with the head on it. NOw at 2 there's no room for her since she has to have ALL her "babies"

DS has a football, basketball and soccer ball stuffed pillows and his blankie thing with a head.

DD (no bumpers because she had a stomach virus and I had to wash them)
oh and this was before her birthday and christmas when she got 200 more baby dolls

Absolutely ADORABLE!!!! Rylan has the most amazing hair, he is gorgeous!!!

Can you believe we have 9 months olds?

eta - I only put a blanket on Gavin. He isn't a fan of being in the crib. When I shower, I put a ton of toys, he throws them out and screams.
