When did you start using regular detergent?
DS is 8 months old and we just ran out of his Tide HE free. Is it too soon to use regular detergent or can I start now? When you switched were there any problems with your DC skin? Thanks

Re: When did you start using regular detergent?
We used regular detergent from the very first wash. Neither DC ever had any skin issues. We figured we might as well try it and see what happened. If there were no issues, we would save a ton of time and money. If they did have a reaction, it was only one set of clothes, and we would start washing everything separately.
Why do more work if you don't need to?

From the start. I never used baby detergent. It's expensive and not necessary for my kids.

Re: When did you start using regular detergent?
Never used baby detergent. We use All Free & Clear on all of our clothes and love it. No plans on switching. I actually like that it doesn't have a scent.
ETA: But I do still wash DD's laundry separately than ours. Unless she got something on the shirt she was wearing and I don't have enough for a full load of her stuff-- then I'll throw the shirt in with our laundry.
