When did you stop using the infant carrier?
DD is almost 6 months and 20lbs....it is almost impossible to carry her anymore in the carrier. When did you stop using it?

DS is 5 months and I am going to stop using it within the next week or so. I just cannot carry him in it anymore. It is way too heavy.

At almost 13 months- she's still in it. BUT- she JUST broke 19 pounds and still isn't tall enough.
Is that bad?

OOPS!! Misunderstood. DD is a bit over 18 pounds, and is still in it. I can barely carry her, but since I have a two door car, I won't be switching until she hits the height/weight limit (3 more inches and 3 more pounds)

We ended when he hit 29 inches at 5 months. That was the specification on the carrier.

DS is 12 months and still within the specifications so he's still in it. I don't carry it in and out as much as I once did.

This weekend we are switching! We should have done it a while ago, but ILs watch DS and i wanted to get them a good carseat before I switched him!
DS is 6.5 months!

i am keeping them in it as long as they fit the requirements. I don't lug them around anymore though. I just keep them in the car and every now and again if they are asleep I will pull the whole thing out and attach it to the stroller.

That is still the car seat that we use but I do not carry him in it unless he is asleep. I stopped when he was about 7 months.

 - 4 months old (17 lbs)
 #1- 4 months old (16lbs 12ozs)
#2- 4 months old (19lbs 3 ozs)
After 4 months with each baby I was done with it.

We used the infant car seat up until 2 days ago and my DS is 9 months. We stopped carrying it around awhile ago. We just kept it in the car and buckled him in it when we went out. We probably stopped carrying him around in it around 5-6 months. We just purchased the a Britax car seat and have it rear facing in our car. We plan on keeping it rear facing as long as possible.

We are still using it and DD is 11 months. She is an absolute peanut. We don't take the seat in and out anymore though (unless she is sleeping) She weights a little over 17lbs.

I hope to get through the summer with it and switch when Ryan starts daycare in September (he'll be 6 months). I carry him a lot more now b/c he's a bit heavy to lug it around.

DS will be 8 months next week and I am switching him to the reg. car seat. I havent carried the infant carrier in /out in about 2 months though. I just leave the carrier in the car.

At 9 1/2 months, we're still using it. She is only 17 lb. and her feet don't reach the edge. We do tend to leave it in the car more and just bring her to and from it rather than lift the whole thing. If DH is with us, then we even sometimes still put it in the stroller. She loves it in there.
