When did you stop with sippy cups?

DD can drink from a regular cup fairly well but knocks them over all the time. That's kind of an understatement, she builds towers with them, hugs them, wraps napkin blankets around them...you get the idea.

I'm still giving her sippy cups with milk at meals and sippy cups for juice and water during the day. I let her use a regular cup for snacks at the table only. Should I try to get her on regular cup only, or is it OK for a 2.5 year old to be using a sippy cup?

my 2.5 yr old uses a sippy cup witha straw...and I have no plan on ending that soon..i dont trust her with spillage! HAHA!

At the table DS gets a plastic cup. When he is anywhere else he gets a sippy. It is almost like a portable coffee mug with a lid but it is still a sippy. DS will be 2 1/2 in February.

my dd was off the sippy and then we were asked to send her to school with one. That is the only time that we use it though...

DS has been off sippy cups since 1 year. I hear it's not the best for their teeth so have trained him to use the straw since he was 9 months...

Training was easier than I thought and with straws you don't have to bring the whole cup, you can just pack a straw or ask for one at a restaurant and use it with any cup. :)

hmm....DD is 3 years and 5 months...and I still give her a sippy. She can drink from a cup...but I don't want to worry about the spills!

ETA: She uses regular sippy cups and straw cups...but always a cup with a TOP on it

DS is 3 and he still uses a sippy cup 1/2 the time. When he's sitting at the table he uses a regular cup or one with a straw but he gets a sippy in the living room.

it really depends on the situation, if we are home and he isnt running around, I just give him a regular cup, out at a restaurant, at someone elses home or running around outside, he gets a sippy.

My daughter is 6 and every morning she still uses one when drinking her vanilla milk.
In the car- always as well.

DD is 2.5 years and still using the straw sippy cups, no idea when I'll stop that.

My DS is 28 months and still uses a straw sippy. he can drink out of a cup and he does at classes and friends houses and if we are out and I forget the sippy but, in general - he drinks WAY more and way neater with the sippy. There is no way I would get any milk in him if he had to drink it out of a cup oh and, as soon as he was bored with eating the drink would b/c finger paint
