When Did you Transition your Child to Booster Seat
My DS is in a Convertable car seat and will be turning 3 next month. They are both around 35-40 pounds. I don't know what the rule is when they should transition to the booster seat. I have seen people do it as early as 3 and as late as 6. Just want to know what you did for your kids. Thanks

Re: When Did you Transition your Child to Booster Seat
On DS's 6th b-day. We'll do the same for DD. It's so much safer having them in a 5-point harness, so I was in no rush to put them in a less-safe environment. He was getting close to the height limit, so I had to switch him soon, otherwise the carseat wouldn't be safe.
The recommendations for the booster are 4 years and 40 lbs.

Re: When Did you Transition your Child to Booster Seat
We will move DD when she is 3 so we can use the convertible seat for the baby. We will get a 5-point harness that can be used up to 65 pounds, not just use the seatbelt.
