When did you turn your carseat around?
DD is almost 15 months and still rear facing. I am tempted to turn her around but she doesn't seem uncomfortable.

We turned the car seat to front facing around 14-15 months.

Re: When did you turn your carseat around?
14 months. They say to keep them rear facing as long as possible; if she doesn't seem uncomfortable, I would leave it.

Infant Seats Infant seats are designed for infants who weigh from 5 pounds to 22 pounds and are less than 26" in height. Infant seats are always installed facing the rear of the vehicle. These seats are designed specifically to cushion and support babies. The rear-facing infant seat cushions the infant's large head and back as the neck muscles of an infant under the age of one are not developed enough to support their heads during a sudden stop or crash.
INFANTS SHOULD REMAIN IN REAR-FACING SEATS UNTIL THEY WEIGH 20 POUNDS AND ARE ONE YEAR OF AGE.
I will probably leave mine rear facing as long as I can...

Re: When did you turn your carseat around?
Carseat Chris told us to wait until DS was 15 months. We switched the seat at 15 months.

Re: When did you turn your carseat around?
We switched at 15 months, mainly because DSs legs are long, and lopped up the backseat. He didn't seem comfortable and starting whining a lot in the car.
If she's comfortable though, leave her rear facing as long as possible.

She is not in an infant seat. She is 15 months, 32inches and weights 25lbs.

INFANTS SHOULD REMAIN REAR-FACING AS LONG AS POSSIBLE - NOT - UNTIL THEY WEIGH 20 POUNDS AND ARE ONE YEAR OF AGE.
After the infant seat babies use convertable seats rear facing up to the weight limit if possible. Most rear facing seats can go 30 to 35 pounds. Normally that can be anything from 15 to 18 months, sometimes more. The longer they remain rear facing, the safer it is. Providing the legs are not "pretzeled" up, the baby will be comfortable and not fight.
