Re: When did you wean DC off the bottle?
I was going to ask the same question this morning. DS only gets a morning bottle. He drinks milk out of the cup with no problem. My only concern is that he won’t get enough milk. I started today with giving him the cup in the morning. He is almost 14 months.

Re: When did you wean DC off the bottle?
My DS will be two in a month and he still gets 3 bottles a day. I felt that 1 was way too young and I figure now that he is 2 I will start weaning prob in January. I dont see the big deal and neither does my ped. Jacob drinks all day from a sippy, but for his nap and bedtime and wakeup he gets it because he enjoys it and also b/c I feel he needs the milk. He will not drink it from a sippy and he is a horrible eater. My ped tells me "whenever" i feel the need to wean is when i should wean. That is just my feelings...

Re: When did you wean DC off the bottle?
I am having the same problem, My MIL thinks my boys are too young to be off the bottle and they are 14 months. We give a bottle in the morning and one at night and they get milk from a sippy in the afternnoon. I was told by my PED that at this age, they dont need as much milk now. They should be getting most of theri vitamins from food.

Re: When did you wean DC off the bottle?
DD is half sippy, half bottle and 1 year old. What we started at first was putting water in the sippy- but then I read somewhere- maybe on here- to put formula in it since that is what babies are used to drinking.
We did that- and we have tried every sippy in the WORLD an the one she likes the best are those disposable ones - I think it is because they are light-weight, she can tip them back easily, and the flow is fast- she doesn't have to suck that hard to get the milk out.
So- to answer your question, no, she isn't off the bottle- she has a morning one, and a night one sometimes, but during the day it's sippy only.
