When did your Baby Flip??
Had a sono yesterday and my is Breech. I'm at 31 weeks, my doc told me not to freak out, and that we would plan for a c section if he doesn't flip by 37 weeks. Anyone have their baby successfully flip this late in the game? (Doc also told me I'm not a candidate for a "manual flip" due to my anterior placenta)

When did your Baby Flip??
Around 34 weeks this time. I did every trick in the book -- knees up on the couch and arms down on the floor every day for about 5 minutes to try to give him some room to flip. But what I think worked was holding ice on the top of my belly. Day after I did that for a few hours I felt him flip. The midwife had suggested ice at the top and music or flashlights at the bottom to encourage a flip.

Re: When did your Baby Flip??
With my 1st DD she was breech up until 36 weeks. They actually tried to manually flip her at 34, which hurt like hell and did not work at all. At 36 weeks she just flipped into position on her own, so you still do have time.

Re: When did your Baby Flip??
My friend's baby flipped at 38 weeks. And he was a big baby, so can't believe he was able to do that so late in the game.
My LO was head down at my 30 week appt, but who knows if she'll stay that way...

Re: When did your Baby Flip??
32 week sono, was frank breech - i was told not to worry or do anything about it (exercises etc). 36 week sono, she was head down in proper position.

When did your Baby Flip??
my DD was in position at 32w4d. i was in the hospital on bedrest and had to have an emergency c-section at 33w1d and she was transverse breech. i felt her move the night before (although i didnt know she was flipping breech). my point is that you are early and there is plenty of time for them to move around. after 36w or so it gets tighter in there for them so less likely to move, but at this point you still have time.

Excellent! You have all made me feel much better! I feel like the little guy is doing flips all day long! Hopefully he will get comfy and cozy in the correct position soon! (and stay that way!!)

Re: When did your Baby Flip??
As of 34 weeks baby was frank breech. I'm going back tomorrow (36 weeks) to see if he flipped- I don't think he did though.

Re: When did your Baby Flip??
DD2 was breech for a bit, then went to transverse (which scared the hell out of me). At 35w, she's head-down. You've got plenty of time mama!

Re: When did your Baby Flip??
My best friend had the same thing and she saw a chiropractor. This chiropractor was specialized to treat pregnant women and she used a special technique (can't remember the name) but after just a few visits the baby turned and she didn't need a c-section. She said it was very relaxing too. I'm probably going to go too if my sciatica doesn't get better! Good luck.
