When did your infant settle into a regular nap routine?
I am finally on the road to NAPS in general. Do you really have to work to get the naps on a certain schedule?

Re: When did your infant settle into a regular nap routine?
My daughter is 9 months and literally within the past week she has been going down at the same time for naps. She was always good with her morning nap, exactly 2hrs. after she wakes up, but the afternoon was always a cr@p shoot. Within the past week she started napping in the afternoon every day at 3. I think every baby is different. My DD was never a great napper so that could be why it took her so long to get into a routine with it.

I think around 10 months at the same time every day. The time kept evolving though, getting later as the months went by, but pretty steady.

Re: When did your infant settle into a regular nap routine?
My DD will be 5 mo. next week, and for the past few weekends I've been more in tune to her sleepy cues I think. (Thanks to the posts on here!) I think I had been trying to put her down when she was overtired. She had been taking these little sporadic naps all throughout the day. So annoying!
She is usually awake for about 2-3 hours and then she will nap for about 2 hrs (once in the morning, once in the afternoon). As I said, this is what she has been doing the past few weekends. At daycare, it's still totally off, but she sleeps well at night regardless...for the most part.
Now that I feel comfortable with the napping, I'm faced with starting solids...which scare me for some reason. Always something to get used to, right? Thanks for hearing my mini vent.

Re: When did your infant settle into a regular nap routine?
Sometime between 4-6 months. It was 2 big naps a day for a while but they weren't at the same time every day until 4-6 months, probably closer to 6 months. We didn't really work at it, we just read her signs and eventually she worked it out.

He always napped about 1 and 1/2 hours after being up/eating.
A nap schedule....not till about 9-10 months.

Re: When did your infant settle into a regular nap routine?
They way I got her into a routine was that I would feed her, then she would have an activity and then, I put her down for a nap. I would do this routine throughout the day. Try putting her down before she falls asleep. Don't let her fall asleep in your arms. Also, I think that daycare has also helped with the routine. HTH At around 4 months, she finally got used to this routine.
