When do they tell you how big the baby is?

I know some people had it at the level 2, I didn't. TIA

Does your OB do growth sonos? They can tell you then. My OB does them at 32 weeks.

i don't know that it's standard for most practices to do a growth sono unless there is some specific concern.

as long as your belly measurements are good, there is no reason for them to care how big the baby is.

first pregnancy i never had any real size estimate. my measurements were fine so they just let me go.

this time around i had to have a growth sono at 28 weeks because there was concern about her growth.

We have had 4 Level II sonos and they tell us every time how big she is. Im glad they do because my OB is very sporadic about his sonos. I have my last Level II next Thursday.

I was given an estimate at my 20 week appt.

I had a growth sono last week at 32 weeks & was told the baby was already over 4lbs & on target for 7-8lbs. They will do another around 35 weeks to see if he has gotten bigger then his "targeted" weight.

Mine gave an estimate at the level II.

2 weeks before DD was born, the doctor said she was aroun 5 lbs. She was born 8 lbs 9oz. I do not put much stock in these estimates.

My dr advised that I will be having a sono at 35-36 weeks to see the baby's position and size

They haven't told me how big he is, but at my Level 2 she did tell me that if the baby stays on the same growth track, he will be 6.5-7 pounds at birth.

i asked this at my OB appt this AM

my doc said at 30 weeks shes about 3lbs (general estimate) if measuring well (measuring tape on belly). he said at about 35 weeks theyll do a growth sono

I have my growth sono on Wed - 32w.

I have had several growth sonos done at the high risk doc because they have to monitor my baby's growth due to issues in the beginning. I think they started telling me the weight at about 16 weeks...

I'm also considered High Risk so have had a bunch of sono's.
At the 31 week growth sono he was 4lbs 6 ounces and at the 34 week growth sono he was 5 lbs 8 ounces.
I'm not sure I'll be getting another growth sono at this point, but he's on target to be about 7/8 pounds.

i had a sono for contractions at 30wks and was told the baby was already 4lbs 4 oz.

I go for a growth sono on 7/15 at 36wks because he "feels like a big boy" according to the Dr. when she does the external exam. We're on track for a 9 pounder.

My first and only growth sono (not including my level 2) is this coming thursday at 38 weeks.
