Ali seems to know some of them

She knows Green, Yellow, Purple, Orange, Blue, pink - sometimes

Red - she won't say but she can point it out.

All the others she can point out and say.
Although - sometimes they don't come out - like Yellow alot of the times is Ellow

My son knew them all by around 18 months. He would sometimes confuse red and orange, etc.

My DD is 23 months and everything is blue to her. So in reality, she doesn't know them yet. I try, but she has no interest

My daughter still doesn't know all of them, but she got the basic ones(red,blue,green) at a little after her 2nd birthday.

ETA: Now at almost 3, she knows all f them but she forgets purple and pink sometimes.

Isabella is 2 and knows all of rainbow colors plus black, brown, and white. She too has a hard time with the "y" sounds and will leave it off in yellow.

ellie's known them for about a month now and she's 23 mos old.

Steven can't say them but will bring me the color I ask for. Sometimes he gets blue/purple or red/orange mixed up.

Honestly compaired to all of the pps Emily seems behind. She is 2.5 and knows green, brown and pink solidly, but gets mixed up on everything else. Sometimes it will seem like she knows a color, then the next day she'll seem to forget it.

For example we walked by a neon sign at night the other day, and she said look mommy, we look red (because the sign cast its light on us) but then i'll show her a puzzle piece that is red, ask her the color, and she'll say I don't know.

DS could point them out early, maybe 17 months or even earlier. But he was late in talking and only SAID the color names around 21 or 22 months.

Same as the others - Age 2 and she knows all of her pipsqueak marker colors.

My DS is 23 months and definitely doesn't know his colors. I better get cracking. I can't even remember when my other 2 knew them but I do recall my DD knowing them pretty early but I don't remember how early...it's all a blur at this point unless I write it down. Maybe DS does know some colors, he knows more than I give him credit for most of the time. I'll have to quiz him tomorrow.

OMG> I am so depressed now But honestly I never do them with him because I just thought he was to young. Instead I am obsessed with him counting to 20 and knowing his letters and shapes.

Starting tomorrow I am going to worry more about colors. Good thing he is going to school in Sept.

You'll see that if you start to focus on teaching them, he'll learn them quickly. JT is home all day with Ava and teaches her as they go through their day. She knows all of the basic colors by now. I wouldn't worry about it!

I read somewhere it is 3 year old milestone to know colors - so don't feel bad.

My son caught them early. He could recognize all his colors before he was 2 (I think) but he still wasn't talking then so he would point them out....so go figure. I would say a little after 2 when he started talking - he started saying them. Many of his first words were colors.

Kiera knew many of them by 18 months and knew all of them with confidence, including the colors of the rainbow, by the time she was 2. I think knowing them by the time they are 3 is what is considered "normal".

Kerri knows all her colors...will point to them and say the name in books and with her toys

Actually, Jordana impressed me today. We were walking by some flowers and I asked her to show me the red flower, and she did. Then I asked her to show me the yellow flower, and she did.

She turned 2 last Monday.

RJ has knew all his colors by the time he was about 2.

Ok. Thanks everyone. I started working on them today.

So far he just wants to tell me what everything is and the noise it makes not the color. But he can repeat them so I know he can say them. I will just have to keep working on them.
