When do you book a newborn shoot - how far before baby is born?
At one point should I book a newborn shoot? I learned the hardway with DS. I called so many vendors right after DS was born & they were booked for months. I am due May 18...when should I start calling around? It just seems so early!
Any recommendations?

I AM DUE 5/24 AND WILL BE BOOKING ON FRIDAY AFTER MY 12 WK SONO IF ALL IS WELL

I made my appointment in September - I'm due in February. It's crazy to have to make an appointment so early but I guess it's worth it to get the photographer you want.

I booked when i was about 12 or 13 weeks. The photographer was already starting to book up.

I am due in April and I booked after my 12w sono with Leslie Simmons. I felt that I wanted to make sure I got who I wanted and they weren't booked.

ahh great question.
I'm going to def be looking into this come december!! I hope to book in like Jan. We are due July....

She did my maternity pics with #1 and we booked with her for newborn and maternity again for #2. I LOVE LOVE LOVE her work and her prices compared to most of the other photographers is VERY reasonable.

I'm using Jenna Domingo Jenna's page
I booked her last month and am due next week- she's really been great to work with so far!
eta- I just noticed that you are due on my dh's birthday

I booked around 16 weeks because I had heard that photographers book up fast and didn't want to take any chances. Good luck!

I booked with Ava Jack. I love the work that i have seen fro other ladies on here and her prices were VERY reasonable.
