When do you start feeding cereal 2 times per day?

DS get cereal once per day (at night). We just started cereal last week. When do I move him up to cereal 2 times per day? Do I do that when I add a fruit/veggie?

I started with the cereal two times when DS was consistently eating it one time with out a problem. It took about a week. I then increased it to two tablespoons and I am starting veggies for lunch when he is 5 months old, so a month after I started cereal!

the ped told us that after 4 days of feeding the cereal without any problems we can go ahead and feed it twice a day. We started fruits nad veggies the following month. So now I do fruit/veggies in the morning and cereal in the after noon. All other meals Ben gets the bottle.

My ped. said we could start cereal at 4 months 2tbsp. in the morning and 2tbsp. at night. We tried but DS hated it, we gave it 2 weeks and tried again and he was finally ready. Like the PP said after about a week of giving him cereal once a day we increased it to two times a day. The 2 tbsp. wasn't cutting it, so he got 4 tbsp. for breakfast and 4 for dinner. At 5 months we started mixing 1/2 jar of fruit in his cereal in the morning and then he would get the other 1/2 for lunch with a 6oz. bottle. The ped. said we will start veggies next.
