When do you start tummy time?
Reilly is 6 weeks... am I behind already? When did you start doing tummy time with your DC? Did you put him/her on the floor using one of those playmats or just a blanket? How long did you do it for? Am I a bad mommy for not introducing this yet? 
ETA: DD was in the NICU for 8 days after her birth and loved to sleep on her belly but I don't do that now for safety reasons. But she does love to lay on our chests and has been lifting her head when we do this since we took her home. Does that count?

Alex was lifting his head up from day one. We started tummy time just by having him lay on our chests. He was probably about 1 month old when we did TT on the floor. We use a blanket. When we first started we would do it for under 5 minutes. Now he lays on the blanket and does TT on the floor for about 10 minutes.

omgoodness u r not a bad mommy....dd has reflux so i started very late bc she hated it now i just do it wayyyy after her feeding so she doesnt mind it as much....u can definitely started now i do it on a blanket bc if she does spit up at least its on the blanket i also do it on the tummy pads with the boppy but she actually likes being flat rather than on the boppy thingie....just have things in front of her to look at or u of course =) to keep her entertained
oh and eta to say that we also did the tummy time on our chests at the very very beginning and that worked really well also

I think we started around the age of your DC....I know it wasn't before 4 weeks.....I would either just put a blanket down (I don't have one of those playmats) or in the bassinet part of our pack & play. I would just talk to him, show him little toys---in the beginning it only lasted a couple minutes, I would pick him up or turn him over when he started getting really upset, and then we would try again later. And no, you are not a bad mommy!!!

We did it about a week after she got home and we do it every day.
You are NOT a bad mommy. I had a hard time making it a part of our routine.

We started tummy time in the hospital probably around day 3 of life, and have been going since then.
You are not a bad mommy. Start the tummy time now, and DC will be fine.
