when does DC wake up?
How long before departure do you wake DC? DD1 started K and we're still getting into a routine with an earlier departure this year. I've been doing 45 minutes, but I think I might start her earlier because she doesn't like to eat right away. Other than eating, it really only takes her 15 minutes.

when does DC wake up?
DD usually wakes up around 7 and we leave for the bus stop at 8:45. If she sleeps past 7, I wake her by 7:30. I don't like rushing around in the morning, so we give ourselves plenty of time.

Same here. Usually up by 7:00 and waiting for the bus by 8:45. We also do homework in the am because we end up having more time in the am than pm.

DD has to leave for the bus stop around 7:50 give or take.
She gets up around 7. If she isn't up by the time I wake up at 7, I wake her.
This morning she was up before me though.
We are NOT morning people by an stretch of the imagination so she gets a shower at night, we do homework at night, we make lunch at night, pack the backpack, pick out clothes. The only thing left to do in the AM is she eats, gets dressed, brushes teeth and hair and I put her lunch in her lunch box.

when does DC wake up?
My DD has been setting her alarm clock (the echo dot thing) for 7:15 this week. I drive her, so we leave for school at 8:15. She has a ton of extra time, so I suspect the "excitement" of getting ready for school will wear off soon, and she will be sleeping in for a bit longer!

DD's bus picks her up at 9:00...today she woke up at 8:35  . It was fine, she's not much of a breakfast eater so she had some strawberries and waffles, got dressed, watched a few Tom & Jerry's and we were out the door.

when does DC wake up?
We leave around 9 and today I woke her at 7:30 which she was not happy about. Neither of us wake up and immediately get moving so I want to have plenty of extra time.

We leave at 8:50 am and DD gets up at about 7:30. She wakes up a little earlier but reads or plays on her iphone untill 7:30. This gives us enough time not to rush, eat breakfast, let her go to the bathroom, and then change her hairstyle and clothes about 100 times lol.

I'm just jealous of everyone's late schedules!
Last year DD's elementary school changed to an 830 am to 230 pm schedule.
The bus comes around 8 am.
That is EARLY compared to everyone else!

Last year DD's elementary school changed to an 830 am to 230 pm schedule.
The bus comes around 8 am.
That is EARLY compared to everyone else!
Our school is about the same hours. My DD's bus comes at like 7:45 this year. So I said no thanks to letting her sit on the bus for 45 minutes. I do like the early hours since it helps for afterschool activities and homework!

Yeah I hear you. I work until 530 so my DH is home with her from the time she gets off the bus until I get home at 6 pm.
It's a LONG afternoon for them. LOL
I just wish I was a morning person.
My life would be SO much easier.
I don't get much accomplished when I am wide awake at midnight.

He wakes up by 7:30-7:45 usually. His bus comes at 9:00am.
Nell - our town has 6 elementary schools so if you are North of Sunrise Hghwy, you start earlier, south of Sunrise, starts later for the bus schedules, etc.

Yes we used to be on the late school schedule but they closed a bunch of schools due to budget cuts and I guess they had to redo the bus schedule and our elementary got put on an early start

when does DC wake up?
DS school hrs are 830-220 but he goes to before care at 7 am so he gets up at 6. He was always getting up at 6 for daycare so Kindergarten isn't any different

when does DC wake up?
DD's bus pick up time this year is 7:00am - a full 30 minutes earlier than last year. We have been getting up at 6:15. I'm going to try 6:30 tomorrow because she has been waiting around ready to go for the last two days.

DC is a walker so we leave the house at 7:50. He's up at 6:30. He likes to watch a little tv, play, eat breakfast, wash up, and dress.

We start at 9:05. School is 5 minutes away. They getup when they get up lol. They get dressed at about 8:30. They get showered at night so they just have to brush teeth, hair and shoes on. The car ride is 5 minutes we leave at 8:45 or so. They like to see their friends before they go in

I have early risers which means my kids are up anywhere between 545 and 630. My DS just started kindergarten and his bus comes to my house by 840. I like to have him ready by 815 just in case. These past two days we have been ready on time and just play outside.

when does DC wake up?
we're not morning people LOL my DS likes to have some time in the morning to watch a show on his iPad, take his time with breakfast, etc. SO i wake him up around 7:30/ 7:40.... and his bus comes about 8:25/8:30. So about an hour before he has to leave

DS is in 1st, his bus comes at 7:30. Everything is done at night- he showers, I make his lunch if he is not buying that day, make sure his backpack is packed and ready to go by the front door. So, we wake him at 6:45. I am already up, so his breakfast is ready. He wakes up, eats, gets dressed and washed up, and we are out the door waiting for the bus at 7:25.

DS wakes up at 7:30. We live very close to the school and classes start at 8:30, but after 8:25 they are marked late, so we make the effort to leave at 8:10 so we are not in a rush. At the beginning of the school year is great, but later on we start leaving home at 8:18

High school bus comes at 6:45.
Middle school bus comes at 7:20.
Elementary bus comes at 8:00.
All 3 wake up between 5:30-5:45

DS's HS bus gets him at 6:26. He wakes up at 5am! His choice, not mine... I leave for work at 6:30, so I wake up at 6...
