I am trying to see if a litle trip to Mystic in April for my kids birthdays would be possible.
My son is going to be 4 and my daughter 2. How would you go abotu sleepign arrangements? We have never stayign in a hotel with them so any advice from BTDT moms woudl be appreciated!

Re: When staying in a hotel with 2 small kids
We went to Mystic with 4 really young kids and stayed at a Marriot Springhill Suites in the area. Their rates are reasonable, the room had a sleeping area with 2 queen beds and another small area with a small kitchen (mircrowave and sink), pullout and another tv - and it included breakfast. I just felt it was really condusive for traveling with kids.
There was an indoor pool also.

Whatever you do you MUST book a suite. Otherwise, you are forced to go to bed when the children do. This was me this summer hanging out in a bathroom because of my lack of foresight ...

Re: When staying in a hotel with 2 small kids
We stayed at the Hyatt Place in Mystic (comes up on hotwire). The room was huge, it has 2 beds, then in another area is a sectional with a sleeper sofa. In the middle of the room is a flat screen which can be moved toward the living area, or the sleeping area. I put the PNP near the closet and we had no issues. I only had one small child though, the other was 9.

I agree with Erin that you should try to get a one bedroom setup. A lot of those types of units also have some sort of kitchen area, which is also a huge perk when traveling with kids.

The Residence Inn by Marriott Mystic Groton has one or two bedroom suites with full kitchens.
