When using your microwave oven..
if the directions call for you to "let sit for 2 minutes" do you keep it in the microwave or do you take it out and let it sit? i take it out and i'm wondering if i'm doing it wrong. should i be keeping it in for that time?
eta: i'm not new at microwaves i'm just wondering

it doesnt make a difference where it sits for the 2 mins....its meant to sit so you dont eat something that is pipping hot.
I usually leave it in the microwave to "cool" down then its easier to handle and less chance of me burning myself

I usually take it out right away attempt to eat it, burn myself and get annoyed that it isn't cool yet.

Thats what i thought also. I figured they said to let it set so you do not risk burning your hands on the container of the food

depends on how much time i have 
i think they say that for 2 reasons..
so you dont get burned
and sometimes if you had to add water to it, it sits and absorbs all the water after cooking
