When you all tried for the first time....
Did you track your ovulation and then BD or did you just BD and when you saw that you didn't get a BFP, you decided to track it for the next month?

When we decided to "try" I went all out & bought OPKS so I could learn more about my cycles.

I'm doing that now.. tried BD for 2 months but now will try an OPK to at least see if things are working right inside.
i know 2 months isn't long at all to be trying, but i want to at least make sure i'm ovulating since i'm in my 30's.
sigh..

When we started we just BD all the time but then after a while I noticed that I was having some issues with my cycles so I went to the gyn and got a work up.

I didnt track it using an ovulation kit or anything..I just knew my cycles were about 31 days so made sure to BD around when I thought I may be ovulating(just by guessing)...and got pregnant on the first try!
This time around we are going on our 3rd month of trying and I bought the CBEFM because my cycles arent as regular as they were the first time around so its hard to know when I might be ovulating.

went off the pill in october and didnt start officially TTC until december. all we did that month was just BD every other day starting CD10. BFN that month.
i decided to take January more seriously and used OPK's and took mucinex a few days before O time. thats when i got my BFP.

we started BD all willy-nilly in december. then when nothing happened, i tried the opks. those things never worked for me for 2 weeks straight, for 2 months. went to the doc to make sure i was o'ing (which i was), and now we're temping, which is a lot less expensive and so far a bit easier.

i had bought opk's but coudlnt figure it out. the 2nd month i had invested in the CBEFM b/c trying to read those pink lines was driving me nuts..LOL

With DD and for most of the second time TTC I did not track, I just focused on CD 13 or 14 based on my LMP. In my last 2 months TTC, I tracked using OPKS. If we TTC again in the future, I will jump right to OPKs.

For the first month we just BD'd around when we thought I was ovulating (based on my cycle length). After that, we started using OPKs. After 3 months of that, we got the CBEFM. After 6 months of that, started temping. HTH!

With DS we "winged" it for the first 2 months. On the third month we used OPKs and conceived. This time around we skipped OPK my first month off the pill and then started using them. I stopped using them the past two months as per my Dr's suggestion. Well, I'm still not pregnant, so I'm going back to OPKs this month.

We tried for the first 6mths with just BD'ing (I didn't even KNOW about tracking ovulation, etc!!). After that, I bought the CBFM and when that didn't work after 4 mths I knew we needed to go see a Dr....
