When you speak to your friends or family...
via phone,e-mail, or in person.......do they ask about your DH at all? how he's doing or anything? would you be offended if they didn't?

My mother always asks. Most of my friends ask as well. Siblings, not so much. Doesn't bother me at all.

They do, and it's nice. As far as being offended if they didn't, not if it was a quick convo but if it was a long, haven't spoken in a while type of thing, then yes.

They don't ask. I guess they just assume that I'll tell them if something is going on in DH's life. They do tell me to say "hi" to him for them.
What does offend me is that they forgot his birthday. What's worse is that his parents (who never forget a birthday or special occasion) were with us for the week of his birthday so they saw that he never got a phone call or a card from my parents.

Some do, some don't, and sometimes it depends on the purpose of the phonecall. I wouldn't be offended if they didn't ask, unless it really seemed like a purposeful omission or was a repeated pattern of behavior or something.

It depends on who I am talking to. Some will ask & other don't. It doesn't bother me in the least bit.

If it's someone I haven't/seen spoken to in a while they will typically ask. Would I be insulted if they didn't? Probably not.

My family always asks about my DH, and sometimes they will talk to him as well. Same with his parents. Friends will usually ask as well.
I don't know about being offended, if a close friend or family member never asked about my DH then I would, but I wouldn't expect them to ask every time (and the same with my DH's family and friends)

yes, if i go to my parents house without DH my parents immediately ask "where's alex? whats he doing?" and its the same when DH goes to his moms, they always ask about me.

I would definitely not be offended. I talk to my mom every day, so she doesn't ask, unless DH is sick or something...And I would never expect my friends to ask.
