most people ask... i would be offended if certain people NEVER did, if the phone calls, emails etc were for catching up/chatting purposes. if someone called or emailed just to ask a quick/specific question, then it wouldn't bother me either which way.

the only ones i really talk to on the phone are my parents.... and they always ask how DH is, what hes been up to.
when i talk to my sister, she usually doesn't ask, but thats because while we're talking i mention how DH is doing and what we've been up to.. lol so she doesnt' really have to ask...

But seriously, I think it is nice that they do ask, but I don't think I would be insulted if they didn't. Maybe if they NEVER asked I would be hurt, but if they just forget then I don't see that as a problem.

Yeah. His family asks him if I'm ok; what's new...my fam asks about him. I mean, once or twice not asking wouldn't bother me but if they NEVER seemed to care, sure it would.
