if it's just because there are a lot of people, well i deal with it
but if it's because the cashiers are going slow, or the current customer is being a complete moron, then i am known to be a bit ancy

I think you'd rather stand in line than have them climb all over you
Actually lines get us into trouble, I have to predict what they might say as theyre standing around 
at Disney, the bagcheck guy had a nice jolly ol belly  
so I was getting my bag checked and kept an eye on them, and my 3yr old was standing near the man, right under his belly and I heard him say "BIG FAT BELLY WOWWWWWWW" and I prayed that I heard wrong and that the guy didnt hear it. 
(we were on the NEXT line, they just invite themselves over ) so I looked at this lady and said "please dont tell me he said what I think he said"
and she was like   she was peeing in her pants. but I truly think the guy didnt even hear him. He was checking bags and my little monkey was standing there admiring the belly
so lines are not my favorite place to be

 kids say the darndest things! one time I was over my friends house, I was just at the mall and tried a new perfume - over the one I put on in the AM. her 3 yr old says "you SMELL"!

Funny you should mention this.
This morning I was waiting online at dunkin donuts for my ice coffee. 10 minutes later I have the coffee in my hands and no one would take my money. I threw 2 bucks on the counter and told them I couldn't wait any longer.
I have ZERO patience in line/on line, WAITING

i try to be patient - but i can be a huffer and puffer depending on the situation. If the cashiers are moving slower than a turtle - or someone is doing something that is causing the back up - or i have somewhere to be and waiting in the ilne is making me late - i am not always successful with the patience.

Well in Britain we bloody love waiting in queues. We wait all day at the bank for a long queue, we get in it (happily) and wait.

I just came back from the post office and there was a VERY long line! this guy behind me was huffing and puffing the entire 20 minutes on line We are ALL annoyed by this line, but it's nice and cool in here so GET OVER IT! you’re not the only one on line. OMG I wanted to SLAP him 
it got me thinking about my own behavior when I stand in line. I will definitely make an effort to stop myself from making any of those sounds. that does nothing to move the line any faster
That annoys me...
I'm very patient when I wait on line - the only time I ever got impatient was when I was in my 3rd trimester of pregnancy and had to wait for the bathroom on line!!!!
When I lived in Vermont, there would be a long line at the grocery store, and the cashier would just chat it up with each person he/she rang up. People rarely ever got annoyed or impatient. It took a long time for the new yorker in me to become patient with that.... I learned a lot from them though, and became patient ever since....

I usually stand in one place but tend to sway from side to side and stare at the person who is holding up the line, if that's the case. If it's just a long line but it's moving relatively quickly, I'm just quiet and wait my turn.

That's pretty much what I do.
It annoys the crap out of me when people huff, puff and complain. Does it make them feel better? Do they think it's pleasant for everyone else waiting?
But for me the worst offenders are the ones that stand right up your @ss! OMG -you can't go through me! And don't worry, no one can squeeze into that inch you are leaving between you & I.
