When you try on shoes.......
Do you use peds? I'm a germ-phobe, so my answer would be yes.

same here.
Same here too. The peds get in the way and I can't tell if they fit correctly.
Also, if I buy the sandals, I wear them around the house a bit to make sure they are comfortable before I commit to keeping them. So, I am sorry to tell you that if I return said shoes, I was wearing those ped-less as well.

me too. I need to get a true feel of how they will feel on my feet when I wear them, and the ped will interfere with that. However, i'm not a germaphobe!

thats just crazy!! who has time for that??
If foot germs were that bad....and communicable....then I would have caught something a long time ago...the amount of shoes I try on and buy!!

I never even thought of that - thanks for giving me the dry heaves
I guess since I try on pants and tops, etc and don't wear a body suit/tights, I just have to hope and pray that I won't catch a disease from trying on anything

If the shoe is still hermetically sealed in it's paper and plastic packaging, then I'm ok with that
Even grosser though than the bare feet thing is that when DH tries on dress shoes, they give him a USED sock to wear!!!

Yes and no.
If they are sandals and I'm trying them on for the first time to see if I like them..then yes.
If they past that first test and I'm probably going to buy them, then I'll try them on w/o the peds just to be sure they still feel comfortable.
My shoe size is usually the display shoe, so I tend to buy sandals in March & April. I've seen so many people walk by and try on the sample shoe when they know darn well they don't wear a size 6! I like to buy them early in the season before my size is sold out and before too many people have had a chance to try on and stretch out one shoe!

I am a germa a phob and work for a foot doctor, I NEVER try on any shoe or sandal without a sock or ped on. It sceeves me!
