No. If I was worried about every germ that I was exposed to throughout the day then I would be commited.
Door handles are supposed to be the worst, but I don't wipe it down with lysol before I open all doors. That's just my opinion.....

I use a paper towel to open the door to a bathroom when I leave, but not when I touch other doors. and God knows what kind of germs are on those?!  this is why I wash my hands 1st thing when I get home. I don't even take my jacket off - I head right to the kitchen sink!!

me too-
if I would normall wear a sock, or pantyhose with it, then I use them to try the shoe on, but sandals or anything else I would not normally wear it with, I don't..

Really? I have read that the virus that causes plantar warts isn't highly contagious, but it thrives in warm, moist environments, such as shower floors, locker rooms and public swimming areas. So you may contract the virus by walking barefoot in public places. I didnt think they could live in places such as shoes.

Only if I'd wear stockings with them regularly, otherwise no. The peds change the way shoes fit my feet so they serve no purpose if I am going to wear the shoes without any socks or stockings.

what is a ped?  when I try on shoes I either leave my sock on for sneakers or for heals I use the stores box of stockings and for sandals no I dont wear anything.

I usually do. But there have been times where I was 99% sure I was taking the shoes and ripped off the peds and tried them on again just to make sure.

That's kind of how I feel about people that flush public toilets with their feet - it's just as easy and less germy to use a tissue then your foot. But that's another thread all together.

YES!!! i think its nasty when people take off their shoes and socks and just throw on a pair of shoes to try on! just to be courteous should you not buy them, try to keep them as clean as possible for the person that DOES buy them!

Warts are very contagious, especially if you have open cuts on your feet .
