When you went off BCP... *UPDATE* ***ANOTHER UPDATE 5/11 - please read***
It's my first month off BCP in 8 yrs (we are not actively TTC but want to be off BCP for a while) and I have been spotting brown for 2 days now.
Was your first AF late the first month off BCP? I had that pain on my right side last week and it went away that night so I figured it was O pains. If that was O pains then AF should come next week (not yesterday like it should have being it was 28 days).
Did this happen to anyone else? Is this normal for the first month off BCP? TIA! 
UPDATE: AF showed up about an hour ago!!! 29 day cycle an no cramps... hopefully they will stay this way! Thanks again.
***UPDATE 5/11: AF only lasted a couple of hours... nothing last night and NOTHING today! What is up with that??? Was it even AF?

I was worried about this coming of BCP because I was really irregular before I went on 10 years ago. But my . seemed to pretty quickly the 1st month and since then my cycles have been pretty short at about 24/25 days. I did have some spotting about 4 days before I got my . this past month.

Yeah, you'll most likely be a little bit wacky for the first few months off of BCP. Just when I thought my cycles had regulated themselves (I've been off for 4 months, and have had 4 regular cycles), I'm now on CD 43 and still nothing.  My first AF off BCP came on time, but the next 2 were later.

April was my first month off BCP in about 10 years. I got my period about 10 days after ovulation. I spotted the day before I actually got my period. My cycle was 31 days.

good question. this is my first month off in over 10 years too, I was irregular hen I went on BCP. So far still no AF and it's been like 5 weeks.

Your circumstances are a bit different than most. Given the "stress" of your impending move to Florida combined with coming off BCP - this month is definitely going to be out of whack.
In general everyone has a different response to stopping BCP. For me, the first . off came exactly on time (as if I was still on BCP), the next at 23 days, the next at 32 days, and all successive ones at 28.
If you haven't been careful, then it can't hurt to take a test to see if there is anything special going on.

I came off BCP in April...I am due for my period next week. I hope it is not too far off as we are actively TTC. According to my cycle that I figured out, I should be getting my period 14 days after ovulation

I didn't have any spotting but my AF came on day 45 and the next few months were the same it took it awhile to get back to normal.

Thanks girls... I never really got the brown spotting days before AF so that's what was worrying me the most.

Thanks! Yea that's what I figured... and i don't even remember if my cycles were regular before I went on BCP.
I'd be too nervous to take a test now... we're moving in 3 days so after we're settled and if I still don't have AF then i'll test.

This is my first month of BCP and so far I haven't had any signs of my . Although last week I posted I thought I may have o'd but who knows. If I manage to stay on the same cycle I should be getting my . on the 16th...I'm keeping my fingers crossed.
I think I was regular pre BCP, but I don't really remember since it was so long ago and I was sort of young.
I know I'm not much help, sorry!

I stopped BCP back in Feb/March after being on a total of 10 years. My first cycle was exactly 28 days, however, I did have some weird spotting two times- once in the middle and again right before my . My second cycle off BCP was 29 days. Again, I had the light spotting a few days before AF.
I feel lucky I've been so regular so far. I pretty much was before though. But I think it's totally normal for your cycle to be screwed up for a while after stopping. I wouldn't worry.

Saw your update! Glad AF showed up!
I was on BCP for 9 1/2 years. I went off in Sept. my cycles were 29,30,30,31,35 days... now I am at CD 70-something and no AF. I don' know why I was pretty regular until now.. I have another dr. appt next week to find out what's up.

hmmm, it could be implant bleeding if you were pg....I am not sure, you might not have ovulated when you thought & are going to have a longer cycle....I would test

I would test!!!! You could be preggo!!! did you guys TTC??? what I mean is did you have "unprotected" BD??? there is a chance it could be implantation...

you know... this happened to me too??!!
got it on saturday afternoon and then a little on sunday and nothing after that.. I'm going to test tonight.. you should too!

My first month off BCP I only got AF for a little more than a day and then nothing. It can't hurt to test if there's a possibility.

Since you are moving soo soon you are probably stressed. that could explain the light AF.

When I came off BCP, I thought AF had shown up, then nothing, then a couple of days later, AF was there, then nothing... this went on for a good two weeks of on an off spotting.
