When you went to Dr. for your first Blood Test....
.... to find out if you were pregnant, how long did it take to get the results. Was it the same day or did you have to wait.
Sorry to crash, Im a big lurker on here LOL. I tested positive since last Thursday and my GYN appt to confirm in this Thursday.

same day. We took our HPTs, got our posititives, called the doc and saw them at 7 weeks, 2 days. They didnt test my blood, but I had a sono which confirmed the pregnancy.

I never got bloodwork to confirm my pregnancy. From what I understand most doctors dont really do bloodwork anymore. I got my BFP and then 2 days later went in for my appt. He did a urine and confirmed I was pregnant. I went back the following week for a sono and saw the heartbeat and sac.

My doc did a urine test to confirm. They drew blood to check my HCG levels to make sure they were where they were supposed to be & then I had my 1st sono about 3 weeks later.

My doctor did not take blood to confirm either but did take blood for my HcG levels. I went on a Friday and then back on a Monday. She was able to confirm the next day that my levels were doubling and that I was pregnant.

same here, but my first sono was that day at 5 weeks 5 days. i had another to check for the HB 2 weeks later.

My Dr actually does both. They do the urine test to confirm PG (they use the tests from Dollar tree!) and then do the blood to check HcG and then again in a few days to make sure they are doubling. Sorry I should have clarified in my original response.

i think it depends on the insurance. My dr office doesnt do blood right there so i go to quest and it takes a few days for my dr to get the results.

I got the results same day -- came in in the morning to draw blood and they called me in the afternoon.
