Where can I donate baby/kids clothes & toys in Plainview area?
Anyone know? I tend to just drive around w/ the stuff in my trunk then drop it off in a bin. The problem is I never know if it actually gets to needy people. I always hear on the news that some of those bins are scams and people end up selling the stuff.
I have a lot of good stuff and I would like to know that people who can really use it are getting it.
TIA!

we often get these cards in the mail from big brothers or st marys, and they do pick ups if you leave the bag of stuff in the driveway- i know you can also call them to come get stuff as well... and it is also a tax write off...

Our accountant also advised us to stop donating clothes into the bins since they don't get used as we intend them to (like you I was driving around with them for awhile in the trunk)
Toys I bring to Schneiders Childrens Hospital . Some clothes have gone to local churches and some will be going to local battered womens shelters. Local firestations might be able to help with that one (or I have family in Plainview, I can check for you)
