Where can I donate furniture, TV's, VCR's, etc.?
I have a ton of stuff from my old apt. that we haven't used in the house. Some places dont take these kinds of donations.

Salvation Army, Goodwill, Big Brothers Big Sisters.
Worse comes to worse you can list them on craigslist as "free items".

Sometimes small or community theatres accept furniture for props or actors housing.

Try www.freecycle.com
It's all over the country. You put in certain info and you can advertise for other people in your area. You can post pictures. People can email you with any questions and then you can arrange for them to pick up what you're giving away. My daughter bought a house and the owner had left some old furniture. Once my daughter moved in, she decided she didn't want the furniture. She did this and had several people contact her.

Churches sometimes take them!
They use them for needy families and things like that!
