Stride Rite and I know Kohls carries a line that is like Stride Rite that has wide.

I had this problem with dd#1 and I had to go to Buster Browns and spend almost $60 on a pair of dress shoes ... I refuse to do that again !!Do you think that they cost that much at those places for them?

Honestly ck out Kohls...I know that line is def cheaper than Stride Rite and you can get coupons to use on them.
I personally dont like Stride Rite shoes at all.
This line is similar.

Try the stride rite outlets - I have seen xtra wide there - DD is a wide. They have stride rites from $19-30 better than the $40-60 price tags.

I agree- I just bought a pair for DS extra-wide and he doesn't take them off!

DD has a very high rise and chunky feet. I have found that PediPeds are great for her. She's not a walker yet though...

ITA! I was just there last weekend and got shoes from $19-29 a pair. I got 3 pairs for $80! My son has a wide foot as well.

We had the same problem with DD and the only shoes that fit her were XW stride rite but even that we had to try sooo many to finally find one that fit her.

I buy 80% of Ds's shoes at Payless
They have really good deals. i got him cute brown dress shoes for Thanksgiving for 4 bucks yesterday!
Plus, they have wide sizes!
They sell Airwalks, Champions and other brands too. And he beats the shoes up and they last!! They have a much better selection for girls than they do boys so you shouldnt have a problem finding something you like! Plus I get 20% off coupons in the mail if you sign up on their website

Pedipeds are good for prewalkers. My DD also has wide feet and I just bought her 2 more pairs of shoes at the Stride Rite outlet yesterday. They told me they just put a lot of shoes on sale starting yesterday so I got them for $19 each. This was in NJ so not sure about the LI outlets. I only buy my kids' shoes from the SR outlets. They have such good prices and they're good quality.

my ds has wide feet and I have been going to Stride Rite... (I go to the one in Selden which is privately owned and they have a card where you buy so many shoes and get a discount which I thought was a good thing)

New Balance makes kids shoes in W, XW, and XXW. Worth checking out if you want sneaker type shoes.
