where did u buy your nikon D40?
where did u buy your nikon D40? and if you don't mind if you bought it recently, how much did it cost?
i'd like to buy one this week.

I bought one last Thursday at B&H photo. When I priceshopped, it was the best price.
It was the Nikon D40 kit with the 2 lenses. (actually my dad bought it for my mom, but I picked it up in the city for him after doing the research).
I bought all of the accessories - 2 filters, 4 GB memory card (it didn't come with one), camera case, extra battery, lens cap keepers. I still have to go back to get a handstrap for the side (I have it & love it).
He has the receipt but I think it was bout $649ish. The memory card was maybe $30?

I haven't bought cameras from newegg.com but just bought 3 flatscreen tvs for work. They are vey reliable.

Barb---were all the accessories included in that price?
Sorry to hijack...I'm just curious, because that's a great price if it was everything included above.
I looked on their website and they just have the camera and 2 lenes for $649.

back in November or December I got a d40x package from Cameta Camera in Amityville. They also had d40 packages.
