Re: where did you buy your sofa?

I bought mine at Jennifer Leather about 3 years ago... worst mistake.

I had 4 replacements in 1 year. All the replacements came scratched and had to be returned for a new one. It took 9 months to resolve the issue

Then, I read an article that they have so many complains with the District Attorney for their poor quality and customer service issues.

Re: where did you buy your sofa?

DH and I just bought one at The Place in Farmingdale. decent prices and a HUGE selection! we didn't get it yet, so I can't "review" them. but I have heard great things. hoping for the best Chat Icon

ETA: the couches I have now were from Siegerman's and didn't really hold up to the test of time. the cushions sagged, bigtime. and it's a Rowe, which supposedly is very good quality Chat Icon

Re: where did you buy your sofa?

We bought ours from Levitz. Great sofa and we love it, but, their customer service is horrible. The sofa came damaged and it took 4 months and a threat of a lawsuit to get one that was in good condition.Chat Icon

Re: where did you buy your sofa?

We purchased ours at Philip Engle, came as promised and the chair leather matched the sofa leather. I made them write on the order that they had to use the same dye lot for the leathers. I had an issue with one sofa leg, but a new leg came within 2 weeks. The guys who brought the sofa into the house dinged the foot of the sofa. The leg just screws on and off so I did not need to return the entire sofa. It took a REALLY long time to get us the sofa - about 12 1/2 weeks but I am not sure if that is standard since other people have told me that it took them about that long to receive their sofa's too.

But the ordering process was a bit of a pain - if you order from them - keep in constant contactChat Icon

I went to JcPenney. We bought the bought comfortable set ever, I can't get him off the chaise. I"m pretty sure its called the Orleans sofa, but I'm not 100% sure. Its great with stains too, everything come right out. DD spilled chocolate milk on it, and you can't even tell!

Macy's Furniture Gallery in Carle Place. They have very nice furniture. Also they have a pretty big clearance center with good pricing and the furniture is in good shape.

We bought our couches at Comfort Galleries on 110 in Farmingdale. We didn't have any problems with them and we thought the prices were reasonable. Good luck!

Re: where did you buy your sofa?

We bought our sofa and a coffee table and end table from Bare Boards in Bohemia. Their customer service is exceptional - everything arrived ahead of time and two small issues were promptly resolved without question. On the sofa, the arm covers were not delivered - we called and they immediately checked with the manufactuer who confirmed that they had goofed and they were sent out right away. And the glass on the coffee table had a very small chip that DH did not notice when it was delivered. I called later that night and despite the fact that he had signed for everything, they said "no problem" and ordered another glass insert. It came in a week later and we picked it up and despite the great packing job - it had a chip too! Took it right back and they said rather than keep us waiting we should just take the glass panel from the floor model which was in perfect shape, and they'd deal with getting a replacement for that..

Re: where did you buy your sofa?

Seigerman's, we bought Rowe furniture with slip covers , we love the we can change them up according to the season or taste. It costs $100 to have them dry cleaned or $500 for a new slip cover set, I love it, great quality, but somewhat pricey.

We have the same and I love my set! We just got another chair with slipcovers - a rocker - and an ottoman/cocktail table. I have actually washed my covers in the machine with Woolite and they come out looking like new.

Furniture Now on Rt. 110 in Farmingdale. It's by Flexsteel - very comfortable, very durable. The store was great to deal with - no problems at all.
