Couches are great! Great selection!!
But the ordering process was a bit of a pain - if you order from them - keep in constant contact
We got ours from The Place too! Lots of choices!

they had the crate and barrel "cameron sofa" for 33% cheaper
its the exact replica
i recommend sticking with neutrals- like taupe, browns, beiges..things that you can add throw pillows to to change the look
i get sick of looking at my colors - so ill change the thrwo rug and throw pillows for a whole new looking room

We bought ours at Levitz 3 years ago. It's not the best quality, but you get what you pay for, IMO. I love the ones at Fortunoff and they aren't that expensive.

Furniture Now on Rt. 110 in Farmingdale. It's by Flexsteel - very comfortable, very durable. The store was great to deal with - no problems at all.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND Furniture Now at all. They are a nightmare. We ordered our bedroom set from them and they are nothing but a problem. Customer Service is TERRIBLE. We are still not satisfied with the final product and are totally aggravated after almost 1 year!!!!!

We bought our brown leather couch with 2 recliners in it and one leather recliner from comfort galleries on 110 also. When we shopped for this leather ensemble they were the most reasonable priced and it came in reasonable time. It is truly so comfortable!!! We purchased over 2 years ago when we bought the house.
We were going to get a Natuzzi from The place but decided against it when it would take a crazy amount of time to get since it comes form Italy and we didn't want to wait that long...
Our living room set is from Levitz and we personally did have not have any problems. We didn't want to spend alot of money since we knew we were going to have kids and we have a dog...

We bought both of our living room (formal and casual) from Levitz and we are very satisfied.
Their customer service stinks though, its hard to get through to anyone there.

We bought our sofa and a coffee table and end table from Bare Boards in Bohemia. Their customer service is exceptional - everything arrived ahead of time and two small issues were promptly resolved without question. On the sofa, the arm covers were not delivered - we called and they immediately checked with the manufactuer who confirmed that they had goofed and they were sent out right away. And the glass on the coffee table had a very small chip that DH did not notice when it was delivered. I called later that night and despite the fact that he had signed for everything, they said "no problem" and ordered another glass insert. It came in a week later and we picked it up and despite the great packing job - it had a chip too! Took it right back and they said rather than keep us waiting we should just take the glass panel from the floor model which was in perfect shape, and they'd deal with getting a replacement for that..
We just bought a new living room set from Bare Boards. Hopefully all will come in right.

our last 2 couches have been from macys. we didn't plan on going there either time, but happened to pass buy both times and found couches we loved.
one kind of nice thing - you can get 0% using your macys card and then you becaome a member of the presidents club - and free gift wrapping at xmas time and free shipping.

One set at JCPenney, they were excellent and quality unreal and the other Raymour and they were great as well.
