Where did you do your wedding registry?

it's time for FH and i to register. we are having such a hard time deciding where to register.

i want to do crate and barrel for kitchen, barware, serveware, and smaller furniture pieces; then either bed bath and beyond or macys for bedding and appliances

did you have multiple registries? where were they?

Re: Where did you do your wedding registry?

We registered at:

Crate and Barrel - Every day dishes and serveware, barware

Fortunoff - Fine China and Silver, towels, some small appliances

BBB - Bedding, gadgets, some small appliances

I was just going to register at two places but, I really liked a certain bedding at BBB. I had a good experience at all three places. Even though BBB is most convenient, I received most of the items on my other registries as well.

Fortunoff (mostly for crystal, I had china)
BBB (kitchen stuff/bedding)

I was registered at Macy's but deleted it because I didn't like the customer service at the time.

BB&B and Macy's.

Had I known I was going to get a house so soon, I would have registered at Home Depot too!

Re: Where did you do your wedding registry?

We had a small wedding, and we just did one registry--Bed Bath & Beyond. They were great--we had no problems, no duplicates, and we were able to exchange a couple items people bought off the registry that we did not need with no receipt.

Bed Bath and Beyond (the best IMHO)

Macys (a waste but a family friend works for them and I got a good discount on things there)

Fortunoff (aggravation at it's best) Chat Icon

Pottery Barn (great store but non-accessible to many family/friends)

Re: Where did you do your wedding registry?

Started at Macy's but deleted it due to poor service and poor selection. We weren't getting formal china or crystal and I found the houseware selection lame.

Crate and Barrel for glasses, vases, serving pieces, bedding, picture frames and other assorted stuff. They were the best, IMO.

Fortunoff for dishes, pots, flatware and kitchen small appliances.

Target because DH wanted to and I wouldn't recommend it, I also found them annoying. You can't return anything without a receipt and if someone shops online, you can't return it at a store - you have to ship it back. They also wiped out the registry 3 months after the wedding with no warning or reminder. The other registries gave you 6 months.

I did a honeymoon registry (honeymoonwishes.com) and Fortunoff. Looking back, I should've skipped fortunoff for crate & barrell. JMO.

Re: Where did you do your wedding registry?

I registered for the majority of my items at Bed Bath & Beyond (found WIDE variety)

Also registered at Fortunoff's but most of that was "serving platters"

Re: Where did you do your wedding registry?

I did macy's for linens & a few big things and
Kohl's for stoneware(I didn't register for china or crystal) a couple of small appliances and other lower priced items. Some of my family can't afford $200 shower gifts.

then I put a few things on Bloomingdale's only because my late FIL worked from Bloomie's forever & my MIL gets an awesome family discount which she shares w/my SIL's & they live FL & would be shipping stuff anyway.

I get annoyed when I go to buy a shower gift, or a wedding gift for an out of town wedding that I'm not attending & the registry choices are something like PB & Tiffany & Co...hard to find reasonably priced gifts on those.
