I got mine from Lynn galager - she is in long beach [email protected]
My golden is 3 and he is a great dog. Amazing with my kids, beautiful sturdy male golden. Everyone always comments how he looks.
She usually only breeds once a year to offset her show costs and her other 5 goldens - usually with puppies available in May or June

Re: Where did you get your purebred golden retriever?
We have a golden that we got from my in-laws who are breeders. They have people come from all over the country to get their puppies. They actually have someone from Japan wanting to purchase one of their adult champion dogs. I would highly recommend going with a reputable breeder for a golden. Good luck in your search

Re: Where did you get your purebred golden retriever?
I'm no help because I got my Golden so randomly but I wanted to add that they are wonderful dogs.
Mine is so sweet and calm and gentle. My 13 month old pulls at his fur, tugs on his ears, sticks her hands in his mouth and sometimes pokes him in the eye and he doesn't do a thing but sit there and wag his tail and give her kisses.
The only downfall to my Golden is the shedding but that is par for the course.
Good luck...you will be very happy with your choice of breed!
Here are some pictures (for good measure!)

Re: Where did you get your purebred golden retriever?
I know this post is not new, but I found my Golden on Craigslist. A sweet heartbroken couple had to move to Boston and could not take him. I also found an adorable purebred in a shelter out east but another family submitted their application before me. I tried the Golden Retriever Rescue but they wouldnt adopt to me because I had children under 7 or something (I forget their rule.) I also tried to adopt a kitten years ago and a shelter wouldnt allow me b/c I had young children. Everyone has their own rules, so if someone says no keep looking :) Good luck!!! We love our JAKE!
