Where did you Honeymoon?
And was it amazing?? Tell me about it.
I'm researching honeymoon locations for August and i'm so indecisive!
I'd looove to go to Bora Bora, but $10,000+ isn't really in the budget.

We got married in August and it was right in the middle of hurricane season, so I was nervous to go anywhere there was a chance we could have bad weather. We chose Aruba, and it was amazing! I would recommend it to anyone, in fact I have, and a number of our friends also went there for their honeymoons! we stayed at the Riu. I believe it was somewhere about $5000 for 5 days.

Hawaii. Just the island of Kauai. Stayed in a bed and breakfast. There was a couple there, also on a honeymoon, who spent almost as much time in the airport as the islands. They hit every island in the state.
We wanted a low-stress, relaxing, romantic week. We avoided most of the tourist traps, and followed the road less traveled (sometimes literally... )
Of course, we did the luau, a helicopter tour, snorkeling tour, etc., but we also found this beautiful river in a park nearby.

We went to saint Lucia for 10 days stayed at the sandals grander in a private hut, I would go back in a heartbeat we had a fabulous time

Punta Cana and I really was not impressed at all. Since then, i've been back to DR (one day on a cruise) and again, was not impressed. I have been to much nicer places. Have you looked into Jamaica? One of my best vacations ever.

Left out of NY which was the best. So easy.

We went to Oahu, Kauai, and Maui. We stayed at the Hyatts on each island, and loved it! The only reason we did Oahu was to see Pearl Harbor. If we ever get to go back, we will go to the Big Island. The Hyatt in Kauai was my favorite.

We went on a cruise to the South Pacific, Bora Bora, Tahiti, Huahine, etc. It was all inclusive and a lot more reasonable then staying on the Islands, and entertainment was included etc. We broke up the trip and went to California for a few days before.

Hawaii- we did 4 nights in Oahu (waikiki beach) and 6 nights in Maui. It was amazing! I hope that I can go back someday.

We went to Italy, we did a few different cities for a total of 19 days. I don't know that I would recommend Europe in August, it was damn hot when we went in October!

We went to Italy, but saved major $ due to the fact 1 of our tickets was free. If that isnt going to work for you, that I dont really have any suggestions. I do however have a warning, stay away from the Gran Baha Principle in Runaway Bay Jamaica. I was there is Oct and it was a horrid, miserable experience. The topping on the cake was when my jewelry was stolen out of room and they told me there was nothing they could do. Oh, and the room had sand fleas

Italy: flew into Rome, stayed for 3 days, rented a care and drove all the way north to Venice stoping in downs in Tuscany and Umbria. Amazing time and still some of the most cherished memories I have!

for our HM we went to Australia. it was an absolutely incredible trip, but definitely not budget friendly.
for our first anniversary, we went to Hawaii. there were so many HM'ers there, so that would be a good option.

Sandals La Toc - St. Lucia.
We had a suite on the sunset bluff with Butler service- amazing!
It was heaven and the only thing I would do differently would be to schedule FEWER excursions and activities. We were always running, not all of the excursions were great, and we didn't really get to enjoy everything at the resort.
We also spent a week at Disney World. We stayed at Pop Century and had annual passes. We could have spent more money and gotten a nicer room, but we spent like no time there. We had done the relaxing, romantic part in St. Lucia, and we were ready for Disney romance. We decorated the room for Christmas and my DH had some really nice stuff sent up from Disney florist.

We were also married in August and knew we wanted Carribbean..so our choices were limited with Hurricane Season. We chose Aruba also, and stayed at the Riu. We had an amazing time!
I was able to book airfare & the all inclusive hotel for 7 nights, 8 days for about $3600 on travelocity...since we got such a good deal, we didn't mind splurging on activities, a few dinners out and some jewelry 
This was in '08 though..pprices have definitely gone up for Aruba.

We did Tahiti, Moorea & Bora Bora and it wasn't anywhere near that price. But this was in '06. Did you price it???
