in the mircowave, done that for years, but i think my dad is going senile as he nuked it with his coffee this morning
hes only 50 something

I put it in the fridge. I find that it gets moldy faster anywhere else.
same with us, there are only 2 of us, and only DH eats sandwiches, if we left it out it would mold before the loaf was done

This is what I do. Why waste good microwave storage space? 
I also put opened bags of potato chips in there. Entimens cakes that were opened. Stuff like that.

In the bread basket on the counter. I have a thing with bread...it has to be fresh or I cannot eat it. I usually end up buying a new one each week.

oh we put entenmanns cakes in their too, but this morning it just happened to be bread.
my dad goes why isnt my coffee hot? i think the mircowave is broken...oh wait i left the bread in there?
yea we dont have alot of room in this kitchen so i wouldnt be surprised to see things stored in the toaster oven (or oven has stuff in it already

If we have bread we put it on top of the microwave...English muffins we always freeze and take them as we need them and defrost.

fridge or freezer...it goes stale and moldy on counter.

Fridge. I've never had an issue with prematurely stale bread.
For two pieces, I nuke them for 20 seconds.

we actually put it in the freezer and put it in the microwave when we want a piece. It lasts longer that way.

We usually buy 2 loaves, so one goes on top of the fridge and the other will go in the fridge or freezer. (We make a lot of PB&J sandwiches in my house)

A bread box is the worst place to put bread. Mold grows in dark, damp places.
I have a iron fruit / veggie rack and I put my bread in the top basket.

My mother, however, freezes all bread products.

If I knew we could get through an entire loaf before it went stale/bad, I'd keep it out. But now, we keep it in the freezer.
