where should I go to find the best Car rental deal?
I notice sites like Hotels.com are way cheaper than say...going to the Hertz website directly. Any recommendations on where I can get the best deal?
Anyone have any promo codes or anything?
Also, do you find their suggestions on how many people/bags the cars fit are accurate?

Check out slickdeals.org I just booked a full size SUV for a week for $250 with one of the deals I found in there. Search for car rentals and a bunch if stuff will come up. I saved more then $100 then I saw anywhere else. Other sites I check are kayak, hotwire and costcotravel.com

I usually go through BJs travel online, what i do is go to each car company they offer and compare rates

price line name your price! also i have herd Costco gives you good rental car rates too. you dont rent from them but they tell you who to go to .

I usually use BJ's or Costco - they give you a member discount and if you rent for long enough, you can use a coupon as well. After I get my rate, I check Kayak to compare since they list rentals from a number of different companies.
Sometimes also, I find if I book too far in advance, the prices come down closer to the rental date so I cancel my original reservation and make a new one.
I usually have the best luck with Alamo - except in Orlando where I find Dollar to be cheaper.
