I went to Lewin's this year and didn't love it. I loved Seven Ponds last year though. Loved Battleview Orchards in NJ too!

From what I've heard many of the orchards have already been picked over. Pumpkins might be a better choice.

If you're willing to take a bit of a drive, Pennings Orchard in Warwick, NY (in Orange County) is awesome. We just went last weekend and they have tons and tons of apples left, the trees are dwarfs so you dont need poles, and they have a petting zoo, farmers market, a place to get food, a haunted house, and pumpkins to pick. Its also right down the street from Ochs Orchards if you want to try them as well.

We too did Hanks Pumpkintown last Sat. & they still had a LOT of apples & there were still lanes of apples not ready to be picked. We got there on the early side & it was really quiet. By the time we left around 1 it was packed. It was also only $15 for a big bag & they had wooden playsets to play on & corn & apples & other yummy stuff for sale too (& mazes, etc.)

Tomorrow is Apple Fest in Warwick NY. We went to Maskers Orchard and it was a lot of fun...a bit expensive but, hey we only do it once a year!
There were lots of apples and some sections weren't even open yet.

Last week we went to Woodside Farms in Jameport. Lots of apples, I made a awesome Apple Cobbler from the apples we picked. My advice is to get there when it opens, we did that and it was great. By the time we left, the crowds were coming in.
Oh and thank you for your FM. I appreciated it and your kind words.
