where to go for a couples only all inclusive hotel in Jamaica or St Lucia
looking for any suggestions for all inclusive resorts (couples only preferably)in jamiaca, st lucia or the dominican republic

I would def not go to Jamaica. That island is in too much turmoil right now and I would be scared.

Excellence Punta Cana in DR. We went for our HM and loved it. I love the Excellence chain. We actually may be going back there in September.

I've been to Sandals Regency in St. Lucia and Sandals Royal Caribbean in Jamaica....they are both fantastic resorts, and with Sandals, you have access to the other Sandals resorts on that island as well.

I would def not go to Jamaica. That island is in too much turmoil right now and I would be scared.
The distance from the violence to the resort areas (Montego Bay, Negril, etc.) is about the same distance from NYC to Baltimore. It isn't an issue.
Check out couples.com We're going there in a few weeks. Looks nice to us.

We went to Sandals Negril in Jamaica and HATED it. What a waste of money that was.

I have been to Jamaica several times so I know the island (my least favorite island I have been to). If I had the option of places to go, I would rather pick somewhere other then Jamaica. An island is an island and I would be scared that matters could get worse. Then where do you go?
There are so many other beautiful places, why take a chance if you don't have to. KWIM?

If you're open to other ideas...Sandals Antigua was incredible! We're going to Punta Cana in december and staying at the Majestic Elegance.

We did our HM in Couples Ocho Rios -- which went a multi-million dollar renovation and is now Couples Tower Isle.
A M A Z I N G! Seriously it's a fantastic resort in Jamaica, and you really do get a little more for your money there than at Sandals.
Certain excursions and activities that would've been extra at Sandals, were included at Couples. Definitely check them out!

Actually Allison I am going to have to disagree with you on this one. Whatever is going on in Jamaica is happening in Kingston. There are other parts of the Island such as Negril, Montego Bay, St. Anns, etc that are beautiful and there no problems. I would not be quick to say an Island is and Island. There are so much lovely vacation spots in Jamaica that I am sure alot of people have never been to
Just like here in the USA or even say NY there are so much incidents that happen all the time would you tell people not to come here? I know you are entitled to your opinion but I was just trying to let people know you cannot judge an entire country or Island based on certain incidents.
ETA: I would definitely say that vacationers should stay away from the Kingston area at this time.
