Where's a good place for a CHRISTENING in....
Nassau, that will hold about 80 people comfortably. Also, somewhere that is not too expensive.
Suggestions???
TIA!

Did you move? When did I miss that?
Then again, it took me a long time to find out you were PG.

Re: Where's a good place for a CHRISTENING in....
We had Luke's at the Maine Maid Inn and it was fantastic. I love how flexible they were with the menu and they were sooo easy to work with. The food was really good too, even better then I expected. At the end they wrapped all the leftovers for us, including the desserts (we had an occassion cake and a dessert buffet). The room was really pretty too and worked well, we had about 80 too.

Which rm did you use? How much was it per person? Was it a buffet or sit down?
Thanks so much!!

I'm afraid of the PG board now because I think it might rub off.

I'll certainly try
The Milleridge?
We had Jack's Christening at Palmers in Farmingdale. People raved about the food. We had about 80 ppl.
Piccolo Bussolo does a nice party. Food is delish!
Hmmm...where else?? Let me think!

Re: Where's a good place for a CHRISTENING in....
We had DS' party at Tesoro's in Westbury. It was under $40 and we had 75 people. We had the whole main restaurant/bar area.

Yes, the milleridge is actually on the top of my list. I'm just worried that it may be too much money.

Kristina's is at the Milleridge.... I believe dad paid $75 per head. But that's the whole kit and kaboodle.... Sit down, drinks, everything.

not sure if they can hold 80, but they might!
Not NS, but we had DS's christening at the Coral House and I was pleasantly surprised! Reasonable too!
What about Pompeii, also VERY reasonable and very good!!! I would have gone their in a minute but they were booked.....

We had ours at Piccolo Bussola in Mineola. It was great. We had about 70 people. They gave us the main dining room.

Piccolo has a Syosset location too. Pomodorino in Syosset does parties too as does Mims
Or Paparazzi in Westbury (near the Manor) how about Wickers in Hicksville?

We went there recently and the service and food wasn't that great. Things have really changed. We wrote a letter complaining about everything that happened. It was a shame because the place looks nice. JMO.
I love La Parma Also La Piazza is very good in Bellmore.
There is also Pompei in West Hempstead that has nice rooms and isn't too much money.
