Which baby wash and lotion do you use for DC and are you concerned with that study that links some chemicals to cancer?
I know this has been discussed before, but I was wondering what everyone uses. I started out with Johnson and Johnson products and then DS develped eczema so I switched to Aveeno Soothing Relief baby wash and lotion (I know Aveeno is made by J&J, but different line). I thought the Aveeno fragrance free products did not have those chemicals in it, but I looked on that website that gives the ratings (low risk, moderate risk and high risk) and they were moderate risk as well as the Johnson and Johnson Products. The only brands that were low risk were California Baby and some brands I had never heard of.
Just wondering what everyone thinks about this and what you use.
Thanks!

We use Aveeno and Burt's Bees. It's the only two brands that do not irritate Joey's skin.

I use Nurture My Body I am pretty sure it is rated zero or low. I get the shampoo and the baby wash. Its a little expensive, but worth it. It lasts a while for me.

I have only used organic products like california baby or aubrey on DD. I do use burts baby sometimes but I did read somewhere that its not as safe as some of the others.

I guess I'm in the minority here. I just use johnson and johnson I hate when something has been used for years and years and then they say it's been linked to some kind of illness. I never know what to think.

We use J&J lavendar for Lucas. I love the way it smells.
As of right now I am not overly concerned - yet but if that changes so will I.

Re: Which baby wash and lotion do you use for DC and are you concerned with that study that links some chemicals to cancer?
yes I use California BAby, Erba Organics and ArBornne Baby.
I am very concerned about whats in the formulas. Not every child will get sick from it, but their systmes are much more likely to be damaged then ours.
Many of the ingredients are known Carcinogens....The issue with proving it it will actually cause cancer is that no tests or studies on humans can be done, it's a small small amount, so you would have to test someone for YEARS....
IT will take years for it to build up enough to be dangerous.
The ingredients can be researched very very easily. There will be links to show they are cancer causing agents in these things yet I guess some need to see a cancer diagnosis to believe it.
Why are they still on shelves? Because its a small amount...Just like In cigerrettes and in other things.
Im getting off my soap box, But I feel so strongly about this stuff.
ITs harming our kids or has the "potential " to and its said its still out there

I love the Baby Avalon Organics. They sell it at BRU now. It smells delicious, very gentle scent.
I checked the database and it gives a rate of 3/10. Doesn't thrill me but I love the stuff and it doesn't dry her skin out.

I use Burt Bees for the past few months...what are the bad things about it? I haven't heard?
I hardly ever use lotion on DS unless he needs it and even then only Aquafor really.

BURTS BABY
I just stopped using it regularly as it got a 4-10 rating on that website as opposed to california baby getting a 1 out of 10 rating.
