We use J&J lavendar for Lucas. I love the way it smells.
As of right now I am not overly concerned - yet but if that changes so will I.
ITA. But I use regular J&J shampoo and the Aveeno body wash.

I have only used organic products like california baby or aubrey on DD. I do use burts baby sometimes but I did read somewhere that its not as safe as some of the others.
Really? I use burt's bees. I do not like the smell of california baby.
Burts bees is not too bad.
What you need to avoid are Dioxane and Parabans listed as ingredients. Most J & J products have them.
They are classified as cancer causing in animals and banned from animal products in California ( but not in baby products????)
Women with breast cancer were found to have high levels and also boys with hormone problems as well.
They are known cancer causing agents but it cannot yet be proven that they cause it.
But I dont see Why anyone would want to take that chance on their baby.
The reason it will NEVER be pulled on recalled is the FDA has NO regulations or authority over these ingredients being used during manufacturing. So even if the FDA warns the contain Cancer causing agents ( which they have) ...they have no say over whether the companies stop using them or not.

Donna - do you know what Burt's Bees has in it that makes it get a 4 rating on the cosmetic database website?
Do you know anything about Cetaphil and Eucerin/Aquaphor products?

From What I know about Burt's Bees its mainly the fragrance they use. any fragrance is considered "unnatural".
And maybe xanthan gum...thats sometimes controversial b/c its a "kinda" bacteria..and people can be allergic to it.
Aquaphor is considered very safe.
Eucerin I know nothing about, but I just goggled their ingredients and it looks like a lot of genetically altered Chemicals and a semi high number on the skindeep.com website.

I am confused, has there been an outbreak of children with cancer that has been linked to using certain baby products? I have never heard of this before. People have been using these products (like J&J) for years.
I'm confused too!
Donna explains the concerns well in her replies.

We use Dr Bronner's baby mild soap and an organic goat milk soap too. I am very conscious of what I put on his skin. He is very sensitive like I am and has reactions to things that are considered mild.
We also use Earth's Best Organic lotions and sunscreens, diaper cremes etc..
