Re: Which bottles?
I did something similar.
I wanted to breastfeed, but wanted to have bottles, too.... in case breastfeeding didn't work out and so that I could pump or use formula sometimes if I wanted to.
I knew from my nephew that some babies just don't like certain bottles... so I registered for a few different "starter" packs. I think I did Avent, Playtex and glass bottles. Something like that.
We ended up using glass.

Re: Which bottles?
My Favorites are Born Free and Playtex Drop Ins. You may want to register for a few since you don't know which bottle your baby will take to better.

Glass ones. Because I'm a little paranoid.

Re: Which bottles?
I liked the Dr. Browns and chose them b/c they were good for DS's refulx. Not sure what we'll use this time. I'm hoping to BF for a lot longer.

Re: Which bottles?
Dr. Brown and Avent work well with DD. Playtex drop ins were a nightmare for us. She spit up from them so I stuck to the other 2
